    If it helps, not only the OpenGL dist itself contains demos, but also my OpenGL-PLG and Alias' SDL-Tutorial-3DWorld. If you're planning on writing a nice tutorial for OpenGL and Perl (which I'm sure it'd be very cool), I'd strongly suggest porting NeHe's OpenGL tutorials (http://nehe.gamedev.net)
